International Conference on Tetrapyrrole Photoreceptors of Photosynthetic Organisms(ICTPPO) takes place every two years. ICTPPO 2011 took place in Berlin, Germany. The next one, ICTPPO 2013, will be held at Huazhong Agricultural University, Wuhan, PR China on September 11 - 15, 2013. In keeping the tradition of ICTPPO, the 2013 conference will concentrate on the following topics: Structures of tetrapyrrole chromoproteins, signal transduction of tetrapyrrole photoreceptors, chlorophyll and biliprotein metabolisms, biosynthesis and assembly of biliproteins, tetrapyrroles in photosynthesis, applications of tetrapyrroles, including photodynamics and fluorescence labeling. The conference aims at providing a platform for photobiologists, biophysicists and biochemists worldwide to exchange research information, discuss challenges, promote collaboration, and facilitate transfer of new technologies.

On behalf of the organizing committee, we cordially invite you to attend the conference and present pertinent research. We are intending to offer a "Young Scholar's Award" on the basis of submitted abstracts.

Wuhan is centrally located in China at the Changjiang river. Its surroundings are rich in sites and places to visit, with usually beautiful weather in September.
